Hello my Friends, it is Monday again and it is time for us to feature another Member. For this week it is ERIC LEFEVRE. Like Goerdie, Eric is also relatively new to our group but you can see his name popping out every now and then to the posts on our group, whether it is sharing his ideas, helping out others in their Excel problems, or just appreciating other member’s work. Which is what we need in our group, not just helping out others but also supporting each other and appreciating one’s work. With this I want to thank you ERIC, for your unwavering support no just to our group but to the whole Freelance community. Congratulations ERIC!
Like the previous members that we have featured, we also asked Eric some questions to learn more about his Excel journey and get some few tips from him. Here they are:
1.How did your start your Excel journey?
I got my start in Excel working for a textile company manually entering data in spreadsheets.
2. Why did you chose Excel?
I saw one of my colleagues write a SUM formula and I was hooked. That sparked my interest to see what else Excel could do.
3. How long have you been working with Excel?
I’ve been working with Excel for about 14 years.
4. How has Excel for Freelancers helped you?
The design, functionality, and organization of the various applications I have studied from Excel for Freelancers have help me take my own applications to a whole new level. I have also been able to add functionality that I didn’t know existed before Excel for Freelancers.
5. What are your goals?
My goals are to continue learning all I can about Excel to continually improve my own applications. I also want to continue teaching and helping others reach their Excel goals.
6. What advice can you give to our members?
My best advice is to not limit yourself to doing things one way. Excel has a ton of tools such as pivot tables, dynamic named ranges, and functions that can be used in an almost limitless combination of ways. Use all the Excel tools at your disposal and don’t be afraid to apply tools and techniques you’ve been using for a long time in new ways to accomplish your tasks
Thanks Very Much,
Randy Austin
